Feta

Feta, the so-called “white treasure”. It is the most internationally recognized Greek food with great export activity.

Feta is prepared exclusively from goat’s and sheep’s milk in specific proportions. It has been recognized as a “PDO” product (with a Protected Designation of Origin) provided that the conditions set by law are met.

The packaging materials required for feta must meet certain requirements, as it belongs to perishable foods. The same goes for other types of cheese and cheese products.

This means that its packaging must ensure, inter alia, its organoleptic characteristics and its non-alteration by the expiration date indicated for its safe consumption.
